Rocky Patel Sun Grown Maduro

Image
Rocky Patel Sun Grown Maduro Robuto (5x50) Introduction - Starts off strong with deep a deep leathery-nut  flavor, medium-full body. Undertone of earthiness, especially on the finish. Not very oily in the mouth, short.  Midway - Burn is excellent. Now a strong leather-dark chocolate combination is dominating the flavors, earthiness is down, displaced by the dark chocolate on the finish. No strength at all so far. A slight hint of spiciness on the retrohale is occurring. As far as mouth feel, the oiliness is up and the finish is becoming longer. Finish - Burn continues to be excellent. Primarily dark chocolate and earthiness. Still zero strength. More oily now, and lengthy finish.   Duration - 36 minutes Grade: 7/10 Price: Around $9 Comments: Liked this quite a bit, pricing isn't bad either.

Rocky Patel Royale Robusto (5x52) Introduction - Starts off very well, medium-full body. Strong, sweet earthy flavor, with undertones of something like a mocha, slight bit of pepper and spice on the retrohale. Flavor stays in the mouth and nose for a long time, slight oily feel as well. Midway - Burning slightly unevenly but not a problem. Coffee taste is increasing, still medium-full body. Just a hint of a leather flavor as an undertone, spiciness is also increasing on the retrohale. Little to no strength so far. Earthiness on the finish, oiliness and length is going up.   Finish - Burn evened out and is now good. Coffee and leather are the primary flavors now, a full body smoke now but not overwhelming. Spiciness is on full blast for the retrohale, made my eyes water doing it. Strong earthiness remains in the mouth, lips are beginning to tingle.    Duration: About 45 minutes. Price: Around $11 Grade: 6.5/10, I found it to be a very pleasant and satisfying smoke, but not for $8 or, mo
